Light fixture in a drop ceiling?

I am remodeling a study, and installing a drop ceiling. I am using can lights for most of the task light but my wife wants a conventional style light fixture in the center of the room. That would require a light box to occupy the same space and time of a ceiling tile runner. How can I safely mount the light box and deal with the ceiling runner? Thanks...

Light fixture in a drop ceiling?

you can use one of these Caddy t-bar brackets to mount your box. Available at most electrical supply, not sure about home centers
