LCD TV on/off problem

I've got a Philips 42" LCD TV. I've been having problems getting it to turn on. Once it is on, it works perfectly. If it gets turned off, then I have to unplug it and plug it several times before it finally turns on. This problem has gotten progressively worse and worse and now it won't turn on at all. Any suggestions?

That's been happening to thousands of people on your brand and Visios.

Google something like "Phillips recalls" or just type in your make and model # then the word complants.

There was some class action suites.

They know exactly what's causing the problum, it's a cap. that goes bad.
They want about $400.00 to fix it at the shops.

Most happen within the first two years.
I gave up and bought a new Sony and have had 0 problums and a better picture, plus it cost me less then $400.00.
