Kohler generator bonding @ transfer switch

Kohler generator model RESL/20 with a Kohler Model RRT-JFNC-0200A Automatic Transfer Switch(200 amp).
ATS installed between the Service Entrance and the 200 amp main load center that has a bonded neutral and ground.
Using the specific transfer switch model RRT-JFNC-0200A....do you leave the main load center bonded or does it need to now have an isolated neutral and ground?
Bonus question....do two grounding rods need to be a certain distance apart from each other? thanks

You ATS is now your service disconnect.

You need 4 wires to the panel. Grounds and neutrals separated. Panel bonded to ground only.

Your #6 CU ground wire to the rods, which must be spaced at least 6' apart, in connected to the ATS.

Thanks. Can #6 solid copper be used to connect the two ground rods...or must it be # 6 stranded or.... makes no difference?
