Kitchen Lighting Circuit

Hey Guys,

I have an entry landing that I want to hang a light in. Can this be taken from the kitchen lighting circuit, per 2008 code?

The kitchen is right off the entry.

Kitchen Lighting Circuit

Yes it can be taken off the circuit that is feeding the kitchen lights, just not any 20a circuit that is feeding any of your countertop receptacles, appliances, dining room receptacles, or bath gfi receptacle.
