Junction Box location

I wanted to run some conduit along my basement wall. When I change over from the Romex in the ceiling to the stranded wire Iím planning on putting in a junction box.

Is it permissible for me to put the junction box at the very top of the wall, or should I mount it to the side of the floor joist and bend the conduit to meet the junction box?

In the picture you can see where I would like to put the junction box. The floor joist to the right and about 9 inches from the side of the wall.

You can put it anywhere you want as long as it is accessible. Meaning it cannot be covered by a wall or other permanent obstruction. Where you have it placed in the picture is fine.
