Junction box calculation mind screw
can anyone help me get to the quick with the end result of the Junction box calculations
2 inch EMT conduit running horizontally . .entering back of Junction box . .then a 2 inch EMT existing right angle down through bottom of can to cabinets No splices . . . .will ground box of course Conductors . .208 volt 3 PH 3- #0/2 hots THHN 1- # 0/2 neutral THHN 1- #4 ground what dimenrsion metal ..removable cover Junction box can I use for this? in your debt for any help Kingsmurf imwithpug@gmail.com |
The box would need to be and 12" deep..... 6 times the diameter of the conduit entering the back of the box to the opposite wall.... the removable cover. For the angle pull to exit the bottom of the box would need to be 12" from where the conduit enters the back of the box in order to maintain bending space. This is assuming no other entries by other conduits.
BTW you should always position your jb so the conduit will enter the ends this allows for smaller depth and smaller jb's. |
