Junction box behind fireplace

I am am having a corner gas fireplace installed in the basement. I need to get power for the blower. Can I tap into the wall outlet circuit that runs along the outside wall behind the fireplace with a junction box? Or is this not accessible? I have an outlet that is 2 feet from the corner on each side, but i do not want to remove the drywall to feed the supply from the outlet box itself.
