Hello everyone, I have a 220-240v furnace blower that I am using to make an air cleaner for my shop. .My question is how to wire it. There is a black wire, a red wire and a bluish-pink wire. They all stop at a little plastic thing and only the black and red go beyond there. My wiring does not have red and blue wires. Can you help?

We need info. We're not psychic. Make and model#, any info off motor. At least a picture. Something for us to work with.
Could be a two speed blower. Black & red one speed. Black blue other speed maybe.

Could also be a three-phase motor.

Having worked on numerous heating units, it's likely that the black wire is high speed, the red is low speed and the other is neutral. Probably discolored from it's original white? Cut a little inslultion off of it and see if its white underneath. If so run your nuetral to it and the hot side of the line to the black wire. cap off the red unless you want low speed.
