Intercom Wiring

Not sure if goes here or Home Theater so posting both. We moved in to new home about 1 year ago. We had pre-wired for an intercom system but budget constraints got in the way. The sytem is wired from front door to kitchen(main) and then to the bedroom. My big question is how do I get power to the unit when I install it? Does it hook up to an electircal outlet via plug etc.

Thanks in advance

Intercom Wiring

that would depend on the model of the intercom system. should be (or should have been installed) some sort of power source inside the wall.
