Installing New Switch
I'm trying to install a new switch timer but my old switch has 4 wires and the new timer switch has 3. I've included pictures of both. What wires go where?

You do not have a neutral at your switch. You cannot install the new switch without rewiring.

Oh dang, is that something difficult for an electrician to do or expensive?

All depends on the conditions on site that need to be dealt with.

Can you find the same switch that does not need a neutral?

Ok thanks so much for your help Jim. I will call an electrician to come take a look at it. I also did find a similar switch Honeywell RPLS540A but it says it doesn't work with CFL bulbs but this is for the lights on the front of my house and there are like 5 lights so from what I've read it still might work with CFLs since there are more than 1 of them.

Ok so rather than calling an electrician would this RPLS540A switch work with my current wiring? If so what installation would I follow in the manual:
They list 3 different types of installs.

Lets back up one step. I forgot to ask if there were any other wires in the switch box. I was just going off the ones connected to the switch.

That is a three way switch. Pay attention to the wire connected to the black screw.

new switch is single pole old switch is a three-way. Might be easier for you to find a switch for the application you want that doesn't require a neutral.
