Good afternoon, all!
I just went to install a new electrical box in my bathroom wall for a fixture above the sink, and got a nice surprise - there's a pipe running directly behind the wall where the box should go. I've attached pictures here so you all can see what I'm talking about. The first circle that's half cut out is where I initially thought it would go.
Installing the box next to the pipe causes obvious problems: 1) whatever fixture we install will no longer be centered above the sink/mirror, and 2) I'm nervous about having the box flush against this white pipe anyway.
Any suggestions on a fix for this? Do they make electrical boxes that are meant for situations like this?
Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
