Installing built in dishwasher...

Please bare with me, I am extremely new to electrical wiring.

I'm going to be installing a built in dishwasher. Right behind where it is going, there is a dedicated outlet. I know portable dishwashers have standard plugs but I do not believe built in's do. Can I use the existing plug/wiring to do the job?

Also, I know dishwashers are generally on their own circuit, but is it feasible to have a microwave on the same circuit presuming they won't be ran at the same time?

I know some of the wording may not be precise, so like I said don't be too rough on me. Thanks

Installing built in dishwasher...

Install an "appliance pigtail" on the diswasher and plug it in.

The recep is supposed to be accessible but.......eh, it's already there.

Feasible and code compliant are sometimes different things.

I see where you're going in regards to the microwave.

Thanks, off to the hardware store!
