Installig Ceiling fan in drop Ceiling


Hi i was dumb enought to go to home depot ad ask them how to do it and it was complete wrong because it isnt working. they just gave me a a system that just attaches to the grid but the box clear states that you can't use that for that. so what i am wondering how can i have a fan in a drop ceiling. what do i need to get to make this happen and what i have to do? thank you

You need a bracket like this.

Installig Ceiling fan in drop Ceiling


i got something like that at home depot but tehirs says not for use for ceiling fan but theirs also said to use wire for the ceter support and not a chain. i will order this and try it and see what happens. the one i got form home depot like this makes the fan wabble all over the place. maybe that chain makes a difference
