Install location of drop amp?

I had power and cable SPD's installed with my new 200amp service. My question is: Should I put the drop amp before or after the surge protector? Or doesn't it matter?

It's an Eaton CHSPCABLE model protector and a Electroline EDA-2100 amp. The SPD has IN/OUT connections for two separate lines, I'm going to have the amp & TV's on one line, and my cable modem and no amp on the other.

In case you're wondering I definitely need the amp, I have terrible service signal levels (Comcast blows) but I don't want the hastle of changing services, they do my internet and phone too. Weird thing is I have good internet/modem performance but my digital TV signal is awful most of the time (without the amp).

I cant think of any reason why you shouldnt have it set up:

Cable/Antenna/Dish Feed from outside >> Ground Block near entrance to house connected to ground rod system >> Surge Device(s) >> Dro p Amp/Splitters Etc

If not you are in effect bypassing your otherwise good surge protection system

By the way, you didnt mention the grounding block but its very important

Okay, thanks, that's the order I was going to go with but I wanted to ask. The amp is supposed to have surge protection itself but my stuff got zapped anyway a while ago, and I do have it grounded!

Loosely defined, a cable splitter with an amplifier to overcome signal losses caused by splitting

What Kevinp22 said. Comcast gave me mine, rather than try to get me a decent signal...
