Inline Bath Vent Switch Wiring

Hi all,

I have a question about switch wiring options for an inline fan venting two separate bathrooms.

The current wiring is as follows.

Power to the switch box in Bath A (guest bath).
14-3 to fan
14-3 from fan to second box in Bath B (master bath)

I am looking to put timer switches in each bath (or a timer switch in the master bath and a slave switch in the guest). I do have a load line from the master bath light circuit in Bath B switch location in case the second switch option is used.

Is there a way to wire two timer switches in parallel for this application without running an additional load line to the fan?

Appreciate any help.

The way I am reading your request is, you are wanting to control the fans from either bath with manual timers that wind up and unwind ?..

The first problem I see is that say, the master bath timer still has time running on it. Someone is in the guest bath and sets their timer. The run time of the fan is going to be controlled by whichever timer is set for the longest time. The guest may not want the fan on, but it will stay on until the master bath's timer runs down to shut it off or vice versa. (Are we both thoroughly confused now ?)

Both switches will have to be off in this case for the fan to go off

in all boxes all whites go together(or cap in Timer B), all grounds go together(not shown)


If timers not marked line/load it doesn't matter which is which

Jeeps: I am looking to use one of the electronic countdown timers from Fantech (FD60EM) or similar from Lowes/HD. One for each room. I believe Lutron or Levitron makes a similar switch than has an accompanying toggle switch for 3-way applications with the secondary switch running off the master switche's last ran timer countdown.



The inline fan is very quiet so guest will most likely not even know it is running.
