info on seimans/other brands-imag0620.jpgHere is some good info on breakers,specifially siemans ,but last page has good info for future reference.
Note- on main page it speaks only if panel says it takes other brand.

Please read the fine print under the word Westinghouse.
"Only when load center is marked to accept them."

That means it must be clearly marked on the specification sheet glued inside the front cover.

Use of the wrong brand of breaker will void warranties, and jeopardize both insurance claims and court cases against manufacturers. And it is a violation of the National Electrical Code.

Funny thing in that Siemens breakers have the notch on the backside which allows them to physically fit into the Homeline panels, but they put it on the non-interchange list....
