Indoor wire vs outdoor wire

I need about 20 feet of wire for an outlet in the attic but have run out of wire. I do have plenty of outdoor wire (both 12/2 w/ground) that is left over from hooking up a porch fan. Is there any reason not to use this indoors?

Logic tells me that while I couldn't use the indoors outdoors I could use the outdoors indoors.

The outdoor wire will work fine, it's just harder to work with (and more expensive)

Use the UF. A wire in your hand is less expensive than a wire at Home Depot.
