Ideal 4 port In-Sure™ Push-In Wire Connectors
 

IDEAL In-Sure™ Push-In Wire Connectors are they equal to using
wire nuts for making the connections ?

They're supposed to be equal, according to UL.

Some folks have their doubts, however.

I've been using them more and more.
Feedback has been almost all positive for those actually using them. All the negative feedback is from detractors who've never tried them and consider them the same as a back-stab receptacle, which they are NOT.

I've used a fair number (did a 1600sqft office TI with them. I know... not a licensed electrician... but it's my office.) They're great. They were way faster to install, take up less space in a box, and nothing has caught on fire yet.

I used them all the time over here in France and we HAVE no issue with them.

They are more faster than choc block aka screw termail strip.
