Ice maker will not switch from cubed to crushed

I have a GE fridge, model GSS25WGPECC. The metal rod is not moving to switch the flapper so that it moves from cubed to crushed. The white plastic piece in the back of the freezer that the metal rod slides into does not seem to be moving. Do I need to replace the crush/cube solenoid which is part #378 in the diagram & GE part #WE62X58? Is that the only piece that needs to be replaced or are there more?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
