i need help with wiring with romax
 
If i have a single pole switch controls both a light and half of a receptacle and the other half of the recepticale is always hot how do i install? if any one has a wiring diagram that would be very helpful too. thank you!

here is a quick simple diagram. you'll need 14-3 from the switch to the light to the receptacle, if you have any more questions let me know

Just make sure you break the tab on the hot side of the receptacle.

i am sorry but can you show me a diagram if the supply is coming from the recepticle and color should i use for my switch leg?

i have the power coming in from the recepticle then i have my switch then a light how would i wire that up with romax wire. please show diagram if possible. thank you!

What is the breaker size?

20=12 awg

15= 14 awg

you'll need to use 14-3 (12-3 if its a 20A circuit) from the recep. to the switch, White must be neutral, your black and red are hots, one will connect to the supply, one will be your switch leg color does not matter on this... then to the light you will us 14-2, white is neutral, black will connect to the switched wirenut

Assuming its 15 amps, 12-2 if its 20.

but i have a another question to ask. with romax again i have the power coming from the switch that controls 2 different lights then there is a recepticle but thats always hot. how would i wire that?

White is Neutral all the way through, Black is hot all the way through, red is switched.

I'm 1.5 years through a 2 year construction electricity program...

Not yet, in about 7 months I hope to start my apprenticeship... if i can find a job
