The hint will work but it is still not a code compliant way to do it.

NO both wire do not go to brass screw.

It is easy to do but I am not going to do your home work but I will give you some hints. Very easy for anyone familiar with "Knob & Tube" wiring.

The wiring method is a code violation and has been since the 1920's because it switches the neutral and in certain switch positions the shell of the light socket is hot.

Google " Carter 3 way switch".

I need help with this electrical diagram

The OP mentions a three way arrangement,
Some confusion here !
Does he mean like a three way light arrangement ?
If so he cannot have a recepticule
Without an extra wire.

Or does he mean a three way because there are three
items on the line ? switch, lamp, recepticule.

Whats going on ?
What does he currently have ?
And were is it located ?

If you post it we can tell you if it works or not.
It's the California three way not the Carter three way. If you look back over the last few weeks both diagrams have been posted. The Cali three way is not code compliant since it makes the shell of the lamp hold hot on some switch configurations.
