I don't know how to use this connector. please help

I was looking for Raco "The insider" nm connector which you can install from inside the box.
But Home Depot doesn't have this. Instead, HD has a different Halex product for the same sku.
So I bought this one, and don't know how to use it properly to secure the nm cable. There are no instructions on the bag or online.

In the front, there is a slot which I tried to pass wire sheath through from the inlet at top. But it's too tight and will not go through.
Then there's a big hole at the bottom, and an open square in the back.

And what is the tab for? you break it off?

Right now, my wiring is not secure because I can't get the clamp to function properly

If HD doesn't have them go to a REAL supplier.

The wire passes straight through the fitting, not through the square hole.
Once pulled through that tab acts as a wedge so the wire can not be pulled out through the bottom of the box.

are you sure hd does not have the black cord grip? i bough a bag of those from my local hd. the grey guys are kind of a PITA. the nm cables go through the circle, then the wedge goes into the thin rectangle. then you need a large opening pair of pliers and squeeze the wedge so it goes into the fitting and cinches down on the romex.

I find I have a heck of a time getting the cable through the back side of them though.

I use the Insider for cable that has been run without a connector.

check it out. both with the same sku, same inventory.
I go to check in person, and all they have is grey.

But thanks for the instructions. as long as it works, I don't care which I get.

One or two two wire cables pass through the circle on the square end of the connector. Then the tab is inserted into the slot and compressed using arc groove pliers or smack it with a hammer like I do.
