Hunter Fan/light and dual switch wiring

So I have searched for a solid answer to this problem but am more confused now than when I began.
I have run new BX 12-3 from a new Hunter ceiling fan/light combo unit#21331 (Home Depot) and a dual function switch #27182 from Hunter also Home depot...
I have my supply coming into wall switch box black/white , my question for anyone is how do I wire up the switch to the fan. The schematics are difficult to understand, the fan instructions are vague and the switch instructions say to refer to fan...confusing!
right now at the box in ceiling I have black to black, white to white black/white to red and of course ground is grounded as per the fan instructions ...any ideas???

Hook the white wire in the switch box with the white wite fron the fan.
Take the black incoming wire and connect to the black wire on the switch.
Hook up the blue wire to the to the black wire feeding the fan, and the red wire to the red wire feeding the lights.
