How to Splice 8-3 to number 10 hard copper wire. Both black and run to irrigation 220.

8-3 has red, black, white with open exposed Copper; the two black hard copper hard wire feed 220 irrigation pump. Has years. No over heat etc.
Have to splice 8-3 to the two Black 10 wires.
How?

How what? How to splice?
Blue wire nuts would work for that size wire.

Sorry for not being of more help. Your post is very vague and cryptically written.
