How much does 200' of triplex weigh??

I am trying to reside a house and wondering HOW to work around the elctrical service wires. There is about 200 ' of it from the pole to the house,,,hanging on a screw in insulator. HOW do you work around that? how do you take that wire off and put back on?? It isnt a fast job its gonna take days and days, like maybe weeks. OR cut around that trim board its screwed to and leave it there till get that high with siding. Mostly just doing soffit and fascia now, then tyvek, then window then main part of siding.

Main problem is this house is occupied, they need juice. the wires span over the alley so cant leave them down. Wondered IF they were so heavy they would jerk me off the ladder to take them down and put back up. It is 2 covered wires wound around a single cable type wire, bare,(small house, basic wires from 40 years ago!!)

DO NOT touch them. This is WAY out of the scope of your work.

Either side around them or have an electrician or the POCO come out and remove them. Then you can side and then install a new POA then they can re-attach.

Answers based on the 2008 & 2011 NEC. If you're on the '14 already I feel sorry for you.

Have the POCO come out & move the wire to a new connection
Have the new trim block in place & ready

Around here the want an electric permit pulled if the electric has to be touched during siding. My last Inspectopr required the POCO come out & cover the wire to my last house during re-roofing. If I stood up I could hit the wire very easily

200' - Fuggetaboutit

I moved the cable only - 73' long to a new connection
That was heavy/hard enough

60 Metre (200 ft ) that is pretty serious drop distance.

DO NOT TOUCH THE POCO CONDUCTORS!!!

just call the POCO they will come out and deal with that for you for your safety sake.

Merci,Marc
