How to mount surround speakers.

I have a Yamaha surround sound system that came from my aunt's house. The speakers are small and have a hole in the back to hang on a screw/nail. I remember her having some sort of wall plate with the wire coming through, and the speaker hung on the top screw to cover it all up. Can anyone identify what i'm describing? Thanks.

You should have grabbed the wall plates when you got the speakers.
Make something nice from wood for them.
Be creative.
