According to DH, "It's cheap and it's reviewed well."

To keep the damping factor high you're supposed to use heavy gauge wire for speaker wire.

twist all wires into one wire? this makes no sense. if he wants to run stereo lines using this cable, it'd work fine, but why twist into one line?

As with most things with my sweet sweet husband the answer is merely, "Why not?"

I have started using NM for speaker wire in new installs. It's much cheaper than stranded speaker wire and is quite sufficient.
I would never try to make three conductors into one though.

Yeah, he and I have had this discussion. He's running it under the floor through the basement, so as far as he's concerned, it's not in a wall. HEADSMACK.

I have a 100w, 100 ohm rheostat that I got at a Hamfest, but everyone has lamps and hair dryers

It helps to have a calculator, too. . .

You use these to get the [Léon Charles] Thévenin equivalent circuit impedance.

he'd be better off using two of the wires in the extension cord seperate. The wires themselves are fine strands with is better for sound plus they're twisted all through the cord which will also help to cancel out any interferance that might be encountered. I used to build car stereo's in my younger days lol. The look on the rep from pioneers face when he asked how i got the sound dampened so well in my car and i showed him the duct insulation all through it was worth every penny spent
