how many outlets after a GFI

Hello all.

Can anyone tell me how many outlets I can run in series after a GFI outlet in my garge, I am running 12 gage wire with a 20 amp GFI and I want to add some more outlets?

Thank you to anyone.

Bruce.

If the maker of the GFCI does not have a limit, the nec does not have a limit.

As jb said, there is no limit. I usually don't go more than 5 or 6. Just to help avoid nuisance tripping.

And by the way make sure they wired in parallel, not series.
Just making a joke, I know what you meant.
