How to install security lights, no existing wiring

I want to install security lights on the exterior of my house but there is no existing wiring to the location I want it to be. I want to mount it on the soffit, above my garage facing the driveway. How do I run new wiring to the mounting location? I have access in my attic to where I want to go, I just don't know how to run the wiring. I also need to know what type of wire and what gauge to buy. The lights will be 2 100w bulbs.

Post some picture of the soffit and the attic. Are you adding a circuit or using an existing one?

Thanks, but I actually returned the security lights and bought the kind that just plugs into an outlet instead.
