How to convert a drop rod ceiling fan to ceiling mount?

I asked before if a cealing fan in a tray ceiling would hinder performance. Now I'm asking how to do it. Have a ceiling fan on a 24" rod. Going to be installing a lcd projection and screen soon and the fan hangs too low. I know for a fact the fan can be ceiling mounted as I have the same fan in a bedroom without a tray ceiling.

What do I do after I shut off the power and ensure it's off?

Depends on the fan, B.

Is it hung properly to begin with?

How to convert a drop rod ceiling fan to ceiling mount?

Got it done...It appeared to be hung correctly...

It was actually really easy...Keep in mind I've never installed a ceiling fan and didn't have direction...

My method was after the powers off was to just simply keep removing screws until the fan came down!

I hope you don't fix the brakes on your car that way.

That right there is funny no matter what. I can hang and drop CF's with NASCAR pit crew speed. Microwaves too.
