How Bad Does This Electrical System Look??? (buying a house)

I bought my last house AS IS & had to sign paperwork to that effect
Included in that was that it possibly would not pass Title V & might be in a failed state
I found more loose electric wires, one behind base trim
If I had to choose between my old house & the one you are buying I'd choose yours
Of course the one I bought cost less then my F150

Inspectors need to CYA with their comments
I saw the additional pics after I posted

IF you buy a new panel - buy the 200a main breaker panel
You can still feed it with your 100a service
That way you will be ready to upgrade to 200a if needed

I like older houses, last house was 1905 - old cottage
This house was built in the 50's
Selling 2 properties & buying one we had our choice of properties & we chose an older house
I would have loved an even older house, but did not see one that was a resonable price around here

How much land do you have?
Last house I had 1/10 of an acre, here we have 1/2 an acre
How far in Western MA are you?

It has 3/4 of an acre... the house is up in the Berkshires.

I totally understand your situation. This isn't the end of the world. We lost a tail rotor on our Huey during a mission....that's an end of the world concern... I still remember how white I turned...
Now that is scary!

Anyway would you be interested in a short/long list of what I see that you should look at in order of priority with your electrical...??

Thanks man, but at this point no. I am hiring an electrician to clean it up, and then after we move it and I start working I will most likely be back here
