How to attach 3/4" conduit to 1" hole?
I have what seems like a stupid question to me, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. I'm attaching an external box to an (outdoor, so it needs to be water-tight) breaker panel. The external box has a 3/4" hole on it, but the panel only goes as small as 1".
I'm trying to figure out the proper way to adapt and attach the conduit. My current plan is to use the below as conduit between the two:
However, the problem I'm running into is I can't seem to find a way to enlarge the 3/4" nm conduit to fit a 1" hole in a manner that is water-tight. I've found 1" bushings, but I would have to glue them "through" the box, which doesn't strike me as a good idea (is that even allowable?)
As a side question, does it meet the NEC to simply terminate the conduit in the box that is 3/4" by screwing the female coupler through the hole? I can't come up with a reason not to do it, but figured I'd ask.
