hot water heater


got a hot water tank,,40gal..........some reason i hear it clicking.even when its shut down....no power too it...had been working on pipes under house.heater shut off all day,,,i get home to see how the pipe work went...standing next too heater i hear a click or 2 every min or so...track it too i ..think the hotwater pipe comeing from heater too line feeding house,even tho heat had no presser for it had no power on at this point.still clicks after i feed power too it.....any ideas.....tkssjim
