Honyewell Alarm Expansion

I have an old (1995) Ademco Vista 20 system with two 5128 keypads.

I am adding some wireless contacts, so I replaced one of the 5128 keypads with a 6160RF. The keypad is installed and I'm starting on the programming.

The first information I need is the House ID and Keypad ID. I think that I need the installer's code to get the House ID, but I have no way of getting in touch with him.

Is there a way to get the House ID without going in to the installer's programming section?

Might not apply to you, but I have a Vista-50 system and you donít need the installers code to get into the programming mode. If you power off the system, then power on, and then within 30 seconds press * and # on the keypad at the same time, you get into the privileged programming mode.

In that mode you can then also change the installers code if you want. Donít know whether yours would be similar however.

(Iím assuming you have a manual so you can read out and interpret/change the data in programming mode Ė including House-Id,etc.)
