Oh boy, there's no one here is going to be able to tell you. Call around and get some local prices from real electricians.
I hope you have plenty of money. Did you bother to get a home inspection?
Most likly your also going to be looking at all new insulation, new windows, plumbing, HVAC ect.
The joys of owning an old house.

That is like going into Micky D's and asking the cashier if you should have the Big Mac or Fish. Or like going to your doctor and asking them if you should stop smoking, but really love greasy foods.

I had to remember where Noblesville was from. At first I thought Chicago area, but then I remember that you are in the Northwoods neck of Indy. BTW, if you want help, enlarging the font and making it colorful, is the same as yelling, so please refrain.

So, do you want help or not, maybe you should think about that before jumping to conclusions, especially since it is Saturday, and usually when people tend to unwind on here and actually have some fun for once, at the end of the week.

If you have a bad day, remember most of us have also. Today I got the pleasure of walking down to the basement to switch laundry and found a pond forming in my basement. Search through my previous posts for today, and you will see that now I am on the wanted list of not only the local sheriff, but the state & city police.

There's to many varibles for anyone to give you a price. It needs to looked over by someone local.
Anyone here would just be guessing and that's not going to do you much good.

Joecaption, if I had to guess, including the cost that the previous homeowner paid for the panel upgrade, before my wife signed the agreement to close, I would put it up to around $3,000.00, with labor for the panel, rainhead, meter pan, and my materials for rewiring, but not including what it would cost for labor to rewire. If anything a house my size would be anywhere from $6,600 to $15,000 depending on the company here in town.
