A HO asks you

And thanks to Leon Charles Thevenin, when standing at your panel and "looking upstream" into PoCo, the entire system all the way back to the dam or ConEd can be reduced to an ideal 240v voltage source and series resistor, which makes this a non-ideal voltage source.

At my house, with the transformer right outside, the Thevenin equivalent circuit to a first approximation is 240V in series with 0.022 ohms, which gives me a short circuit current of ~11 kA, and 200A x 0.022 = a 4.4v/1.8% drop, when measured at the panel.

According to KBSparky, you are paying for the likelihood that some of the time you will have 200A service, so my reading would have been different at another time.
