hight of romex off floor

when I'm running romex through studs between general purpose receptacles, is there a minimun height above the floor it needs to be?

No specific height required
I usually like it at least 5" off the bottom plate in case there is any chance a nail can be driven up thru the plate
Also above the area where any base trim might be on the wall
Another place a nail can go into the cable

Other then that I drill holes & run it either above the boxes or below
Usually above the boxes is easier when wiring - for me

i wouldn't come close to top or bottom plates. i run all my wires at 18" above floor. usually no window (or other) interference, i always know where they're at, and convenient heighth to drop into receptacle boxes.
