hiding L.E.D.TV power cord behind ventless fireplace

can i hide the power cord for my LED tv behind the wall of my ventless fireplace. Will the cord withstand any heat generated by using the fireplace( I hardly ever use it)?

No. Flexable cords can not be used inside walls.
You can use wire mold to control the wires down the wall.

Or drop a wire from behind the TV and install a second outlet right behind the Tv. they make recessed boxes just for such an application. 45 degree slant, 2g box.

Lowvoltage and 120v side by side. (divided of course)

Arlington industries.

I forget the number, but I know for a fact they make them and so does Pass and Seymour.

Your AHJ/Inspectors ALWAYS have the final say on ANY electrical code issue.
If in doubt, contact a licensed, experienced, reputable electrician to perform the work.
