I am finishing my basement which includes a home theater. Behind Where I plan on mounting my 60in led flat screen is the foundation that supports my brick chimney--basically a 2ft x 2 ft area above which is the fireplace and chimney. The tv is going to be mounted on hidden door that opens to safe. My problem is that I need to have a power outlet behind the tv and I am not sure how to run wiring through the door frame and into the door.
I've looked at power transfer hinges but they, it would appear, cannot handle the amps/volts needed to support the outlet. I also saw a device used by security companies when they wire doors with electric strikes. However, it is only good for 24 volts or so. Finally, I looked at using wire that is rated for high flexibility but I am not sure it is the right solution either.
Has anyone ever done something like this or have some ideas how I can do this?
I would really appreciate some advice on how (or even if) I should proceed.

We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
