hello to everyone! im new here, and im not an electrician but i want to be an electrician but i dont have the basic knowledge on this field, i only have a theory knowledge on elctronics and communication engineer because im an enggineer, but i cant find a job on this field so i like to try electrical job,so can you please help,do you have some tutorial on this matter like the basic wiring of outlet, installing lights, and wiring a house, and creating a electrical panel!thanks!
Most community colleges have courses for electricians. Most citys/states require that you go through an apprentice program to get a license as an electrician. That comes from working for a licensed electrical person or company.
I tried becoming an electrician after being laid off as an engineer.
I got an equal mix of "underqualified" and "overqualified".
I eventially got an offer after a year and a half, just after I got another job.
Hope you have better luck than me.
