help wiring a single pole indicator light

I am trying to wire a small 110v indicator bulb on the switch side of a single pole thermostat ;so i can see when it is powering a heater. the trick is I dont want it to be directly in line as to stop the heater if the bulb were to burn out. Any Ideas would be appreciated.:(

The indicator goes in parallel with the heater, not in series. The heater wouldn't work at all if you put it in series.

You can buy a switch with a built in indicator light! Would save a bit on the work involved.

One side of the indicator light goes to the hot wire to element,
The other wire of the indicator light goes to neutral.
This puts it in parrallel not series !
