its a 10 amp switch ..ie

"Three-speed wall mounted switch for positive control of 3-speed fan motors. Switches have auxiliary lead for line voltage thermostat control. Rating: 10A - 125 VAC., 5A - 277 VAC."

10 amps at 125 volt
5a is at 277 volts

Philly, it's wired 240v. I was alittle confused myself by the red wire thing. The red wire is the lo speed. Are you just saying hook it and the other speed wire to their own switches?

I jumped the yellow com from the motor and its working. Hope that its right.

belive the middle is common,so there is where you would bring in your 240 ,then the outside would be your two speed selections.just would have too jumper one screw each on the outside for your common. i belive the three way switch would have handled this just as easily.
