help needed with wireing of halloween project

I have a Halloween projectů Im trying to make a project using both 12v and 110. I have a washing machine solenoid (110) hooked up to an air compressor. I also have a 12v light system that I have powered by a landscaping electrical transformer. Im trying to see what type of switch I can use (DPDT?) to turn them both on at the same time, and how I would wire this. Any Ideas?

help needed with wireing of halloween project

im trying to get the solenoid (110v) and the lights (12v) to fire at the same time. I guess I'll have to run 110 to the switch, split after the switch to go to the solenoid and to the transformer. The only thing is I'm not sure how to wire the switch. Give me a switch or outlet to replace in my house and im fine. Make me wire it myself and im lost....

Switch the hot side of the feed. Black wire into switch, black wire out of switch. White stays connected and so does the ground. You will end up with 3 wires going to the switch box, three wires coming out of the switch box. Black wire is switched. Run these to your decorations, slit them in another junction box and you will have two sets. Make sure this is all in water outdoor boxes if this stuff is outside.
If your not comfortable doing ANY of this DON'T! There will probably be children involved.
