HELP needed with Ceiling Fan motor

I have a 30yr old large Hunter ceiling fan in my Great Room. It's worth repairing (instead of replacing).
The problem is when the fan is turned on, all it does is hum. The blades do not turn.

Any help is appreciated.

HELP needed with Ceiling Fan motor

How do you know it's worth repairing? Do you have the repair cost vs the new fan cost? IMO a ceiling fan is never worth a repair cost. Who's going to repair it?

It may just need lubrication if it's that old. Call Hunter and ask them how to lube it. If it's more than lubrication, get a new one.
