You should tape the ground with green tape at least so the next person to come along won't make the same mistake and then be stupid enough to touch the case.

Dont worry !
A very short burst of rev connection will not hurt the motor.
But it could make the frame of the motor live
under some circumstances.

If nothing blew out (breakers) dont worry ! be happy !

yes i did quit getting in such a hurry and being the wire was all the same color i should have marked them but lesson learned thanks man
