Help with electrical timer wiring
I was hoping somebody with more knowledge than me could help with wiring a Paragon Timer for a septic tank blower. The blower has 3 wires (green, black, white), and the power supply has the same three. The Paragon timer has 2 black, red, blue and green. Any ideas? Thanks!
This is a link to the wiring diagram (on right)
The blower has 3 wires (green, black, white), and the power supply has the same three. The Paragon timer has 2 black, red, blue and green.
1) The two black leads are the supply power for 240 volt. (L1 and L2) Connect black and white supply.
2) The green is the ground. All three of these go together with wire nuts and bonded to the timer enclosure
3) Connect blue to L2
4) Connect red to the black of the blower power lead.
5) Connect the white coming from the blower to L1.
Note: The box with the word (Load) is the blower motor. Since your diagram indicates this timer can operate on 120, 208 or 240 check to see if the timer motor has some switch or jumper for the voltage you are using. The timer motor is the circle with a "T" in it.
Thanks! I think that clears it up. I should have mentioned that it's a 120v system. I took the timer off of another motor that was 120v, so it should be setup to operate at 120v.
