Help !!!!

Hi There is there anyone that throw some light on this problem .... I have one breaker for the house that uses fuse wire. And when something blows the whole box will trip. But last night one on my sockets in the kitchen decided it didnt want to work anymore and the whole of my bedroom sockets now dont work. Ive checked all the fuse wires and there appears to be nothing wrong. Ive reccently fitted dimmer switches in the dining room and kitchen but why are some sockets working and some not ???? PLease help someone .......As is is making me mad :censored:

Do you know if any of the receptacles are GFI? Check the kitchen, look for a rectangular shaped receptacle with 2 buttons labeled "TEST" and "RESET". Look all over the house... garage, dining room, etc for these type and see if any of them have tripped.

Like I said, it sounds like a GFI receptacle (outlet/socket). Do you have any plugs that have TEST and RESET buttons on them?

Have you verified that all of your curcuit breakers are on and not tripped or a blown fuse?

Faulty connection in one of the boxes where you installed the dimmers? Always start looking where recent work was done.
