hello from va Mobile home light switch issues

I am the owner of a 1990 mobile home and want to change my light switches. I dont have alot of electrical experience but I have changed light switches before. The switches in my bathrooms are self contained and have six wires that lay in the switch. Is there a way to change these to the standard light switch?

hello from va Mobile home light switch issues

I just had the same issue. the new switch should have 3 wires if it is a single pole switch. my new switch had two black wires and a green one(the green being the ground wire). from the wall, i had two sets of wires. in each set was a white, a black, and a bare wire. i connected the each black wire to a white wire. the green wire to the bare wire and then connected the two black wires from the wall together. let me know how it works for you.

and if you know the answer to this one, i didn't buy a self-containing outlet. how would i get it to stay in the wall securely?
