Heater
Have a Pathon E3 heater that is 240 volts one phase max 13 amps,output 3000 watts.It has carol 10/4 wire on the heater now that is red,green,black.I want to install this heater in my garage can I use this wire from the panel and put a plug on the heater.What kind of breaker will I need and recepatcle.Thanks

2P30 breaker. Use #10 Romex or AC or MC, not the rubber cord between the panel and the outlet.

could I use 12/2 with a double pole 20 to a receptacle and keep the rubber cord on the heater.

yes you can. I read the size of the heater wrong. #12 on a 2P20 is all you need. Sorry.

Ok, you need a NEMA 6-20P plug and a NEMA 6-20R receptacle.
