hanging light fixture; wire twists as chain tightened

Hi,
Just curious if anyone knows a trick to this. Ive got a hanging light fixture Im changing out with a new one. The old one, installed by a pro, has the wire " meander" nicely up the links thru the screw collar and into the ceiling.

The other room I replaced I had much trouble when screwing the screw collar into the bracket. I need to turn the screw collar to tighten it into the bracket in the box. This turns, or spins the connected chain, but the wires in the box ( obviously ) do not turn, so the wire weaved thru the chain starts twisting and looking, um."ugly" for lack of a better term.

Is there a better way I am not seeing?

thanks!

Don't connect your wires until last. Do a dry run of your canopy fit before you connect wires .

Twist the opposite way before you install. Then the install will untwist them.

Sorry, I had to reduce the pictures so I could upload them, thank-you for the quick responses. Hopefully this helps describe what I am talking about.

I put the bracket in the box, and then I take the screw collar close to the box, attach the wires and stuff them into the box.

Then this is where I have trouble. As I screw in the screw collar which is attached to the chain, everything turns except the wires in the box. The wires in the box twist as does the wire through the chain.

Edit: Twisting the wires opposite way sounds good (smacking forehead). Thanks.
